Dubuque, IA : Two people reported possible injuries from a crash on Wednesday, 16th May 2018

Police said two people reported possible injuries from a crash outside Hempstead High School in Dubuque on Wednesday morning.

But Barbara A. Blaser II, 63, and Luella M. Pape, 84, both of Dubuque, refused emergency medical treatment at the scene, according to a Dubuque police report.

At 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, Ricky L. Pottebaum, 50, of Dubuque, was driving east on Pennsylvania Avenue by the high school when he said he was blinded by the sun, the report states. His vehicle rear-ended a vehicle driven by Blaser, who was stopped at a red light. The force of impact pushed Blaser’s vehicle into the back of Pape’s vehicle.

Pottebaum was cited with failure to maintain control of his vehicle, driving while barred and operating without registration.
