Lordsburg,NM : 25 vehicles crash, 6 dead in dust storm on June, Monday 19th 2017

One of the largest crashes in New Mexico history has left six people dead.

The crash occurred near the Arizona-New Mexico state line Monday after a thunderstorm that moved rapidly through the area, bringing with it 50 mph wind gusts, and causing a dust storm that blanketed Interstate 10.

“We’ve had more fatalities in a single crash, but never one that involved this many vehicles,” Carl Christiansen, New Mexico State Police public information officer.
