MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, IN : 21-year-old killed in crash on Ellinghausen Road toward Route 48 in Manchester Township on Thursday, 23rd May 2019

A 21-year-old Aurora man died after the vehicle he was driving went off the road and overturned Thursday evening, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office.

William W. Yelton was driving a 2018 Polaris RZR trail vehicle north on Ellinghausen Road toward Route 48 in Manchester Township at about 8:40 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, deputies said.

Yelton was thrown from the vehicle and it landed on top of him, deputies said. He was reported to be trapped and unconscious.

EMS responders were able to free Yelton and began treating him while an Air Care helicopter was called to the scene, but deputies said Yelton died before he could be flown to the hospital.
