Deadly 10-Car Pileup Shuts Down I-10 For More Than 24-hours

A deadly 10-car pileup on Interstate 10 near Pecos took the lives of at least two people, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety in Pecos.DPS Troopers say the wreck occurred at mile marker 192 on I-10, they say the icy weather conditions are to blame.The pileup shutdown I-10 going westbound for more than 24-hours.

DPS Officials say wreckers are still out picking up a large number of vehicles that were involved in a number of unrelated accidents caused by the icy roads.DPS Troopers from all over the surrounding areas including, El Paso, Midland/Odessa, Van Horn and Sierra Blanca, were sent in to assist with the number of crashes that took place in and around Pecos, including the 10-car pileup on I-10.
