HILLSBORO, OR : Child hit killed by car while riding bicycle in SE Hillsboro on Saturday, 10th February 2024

A 12-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car while riding a bicycle in Southeast Hillsboro on Saturday evening, according to the Hillsboro Police Department.

Around 5 p.m., police responded to Southeast 10th Avenue and Southeast Baseline Street after reports of a crash. Officers said the crash involved a car and a cyclist, who was a child. The boy was declared dead.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No one has been arrested at this time.
