Allentown,PA : Motorcycle breaks in half in Lehigh Twp. crash with car; biker injured on January, Monday 22nd 2018

motorcyclist was injured Monday night in Lehigh Township when a collision with a car broke his bike in half in front of the Pennsville Hotel tavern, according to emergency radio reports.

The 31-year-old motorcyclist landed on the pavement in the accident, which was reported 8:34 p.m. at Lehigh and Walnut drives, about 4 miles north of Northampton.

The biker was conscious. Officers on the scene considered calling in a medical helicopter, but decided a flight was not necessary. An ambulance was dispatched.

Forty minutes after the crash, a second ambulance was sent for a 29-year-old woman suffering neck pain. She reportedly was in the car when the vehicles collided.
