San Marcos, TX : Unborn child, father killed in two-car collision on Texas 21 in San Marcos on Tuesday, August 2, 2016

A two-car collision on Texas 21 in San Marcos that killed a Bryan man and hospitalized a Bryan woman Tuesday is still under investigation, according to the San Marcos Police Department.

At roughly 6 p.m., emergency units responded to a report of a major collision involving two cars near the 1700 block of Texas 21, according to a news release.

Kristian Nicole Guerrero, 24, was driving a Toyota Corolla with her husband, 23-year-old Fabian Guerrero-Moreno, in the passenger seat. According to the press release, a Chevrolet Impala driven by 21-year-old Shana Lee Elliot of San Marcos crossed the center line and struck the Corolla.

A report by KXAN in Austin said Guerrero lost her unborn child in the accident.
Guerrero-Moreno died in the accident, and Guerrero was taken to St. David's South Austin Medical Center for treatment, according to authorities. An article in the Austin American-Statesman said Guerrero was in serious condition on Wednesday. Elliott was taken to Central Texas Medical Center for minor injuries.

According to police, Elliott was arrested and charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.
