Richmond, VA : 17-year-old driver killed in Nuckols Road crash on Wednesday, 9th January 2019

Henrico County police have identified a teenage driver who was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday.

Police said it appears that Oscar Silvay, 17, he lost control of the Chevrolet sedan he was driving and hit a light pole at Nuckols and Sadler roads about 1:20 a.m.Silvay, a Henrico resident, was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Speed is believed to have been a factor, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
