Allentown, PA : Two truckers were injured in Upper Macungie Township on Wednesday, January, 24th 2018

Two truckers were injured Wednesday afternoon in Upper Macungie Township when a dump truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Route 222, police said.

John T. Guldin, 58, of Fleetwood was driving the dump truck east on Route 222 at 1:05 p.m. when he ran into the rear of the big rig, which was slowing for a red light at Mill Creek Road, township police said.

Jacob A. Thibault, 31, of New Tripoli was driving the tractor-trailer, officer Robert Djevharian said.

The drivers suffered minor injuries, Guldin, to his left hand; and Djevharian, to his lower back, police said. Both turned down medical attention.
