Westbrook,ME : Car crashes into Westbrook church on September, Tuesday 12th 2017

A car crashed into the First Baptist Church around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Westbrook police said officers arrived at the intersection of Main and Stroudwater streets to find the car had collided with the building.

Three adults were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A child in the car was OK, police said.

Police said the driver failed to yield to traffic and lost control of the car.

The damage to the church is minor, police said.
