BILLINGS, MT : A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on I-90 near the Lockwood on Thursday, December, 28th 2017

A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on I-90 near the Lockwood exit early Thursday evening.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Justin Moran says a man was traveling westbound on I-90 and was merging onto the interstate from the Lockwood on-ramp when he lost control of his pickup. The pickup spun out in front of a semi-truck in the passing lane and then struck the guardrail.

The crash happened about 5:00 p.m. The westbound lanes of I-90 were closed for about 20 minutes following the crash.

Trooper Moran says it is believed the driver was not wearing a seat belt and neither drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
