New Madrid,MO : Baby and woman injured in Missouri crash on April, wednesday 19th 2017

A baby and a woman were taken to hospitals after a crash in Missouri Wednesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened just before 3 p.m. on New Madrid County Road 246 at the Dunklin County line.

Peggy Callaway of Bernie was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus east when the car went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned, according to the investigating trooper.

Her passengers 24-year-old Ashley Nunnery and Liam Nunnery, who is under one year old, were thrown from the vehicle, the MSHP crash report stated.

The Labadie residents were taken to separate hospitals.

Liam Nunnery was flown to a children's hospital in Memphis with serious injuries. Meanwhile, Ashley Nunnery was transported to a hospital in Kennett with moderate injuries.

Callaway was not injured.

According to the crash report, no one was wearing a safety device.
