Man Hit By Van crash Near Campbell Virginia

a man was hit by conversion van on Route 460 in Campbell County a little before 5:30 p.m. Thursday.Traffic was backed up a long way during the accident.Troopers say the man was walking and may have ended up in the roadway.The pedestrian was first taken to Lynchburg General Hospital and then taken by helicopter to UVA Medical Center.
The driver of the van was shaken up but not injured.They say nothing indicates that the driver of the van ever left the roadway.Officials say there were no charges filed.
