Elmore, OH : 14-year-old girl killed in crash of SUV in Ottawa County near Elmore on Sunday, August 10, 2014

The State Highway Patrol says a 14-year-old girl was killed when the SUV she was riding in crashed in northwestern Ohio. A release from the patrol says the SUV's 18-year-old driver received minor injuries and was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released. Troopers say the girl was thrown from the vehicle when it ran off the road and overturned several times around 1 a.m. Sunday. She was identified as Miranda Marie Cleveland. Troopers say the SUV was westbound on State Route 105 when the crash occurred in Ottawa County near Elmore. The patrol says the driver, Austin M. Limpf, of Curtice, said he fell asleep. Troopers say alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash. The road was closed for about four hours.
