COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC : Two killed in Columbus County crash involving motorcycle on Sunday, January 1st 2017

Two people were killed after a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup truck in Columbus County Sunday.
Sgt. Ezell with Highway Patrol said the two victims were on a motorcycle traveling westbound on U.S. 74 near Old Boardman Road.
Around 5:45 p.m. a pickup truck driver hauling a trailer failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle.
The two victims were 51 and 49 years old.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.
Sgt. Ezell said charges against the driver are pending.
