Two people were injured and a driver was arrested for drunk driving in an accident Tuesday in Chippewa County.
Melissa M. Bach, 30, Chippewa Falls, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, causing injury while operating intoxicated with a passenger under 16 years of age and unsafe lane deviation.
According to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Bach was driving southbound on Highway 178 near 125th Avenue at about 5:44 p.m. when she made an abrupt U turn in front of a vehicle driven by Lucas W. Anderson, 25, of Chippewa Falls. Both vehicles received severe damage in the crash.
Anderson and a 10-year-old passenget in the Bach vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
