Ardmore, OK : Sulphur woman injured in crash south of Davis early Thursday, August 18, 2016

A 56-year-old Sulphur woman was taken by ambulance early Thursday to OU Medical Center following a single vehicle crash on a county road.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Sherri L. Wright was admitted to the metro medical facility in serious condition with multiple injuries.

The accident occurred at 7:43 a.m. 2 miles east and 1.5 miles south of Davis. Wright was driving a 2005 Doge pickup northbound when the truck crossed the center line, ran off the road, hit a culvert, ran through a fence and then hit a tree.

Wright was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Cause of the collision was listed as unknown.
