Box Elder County,UT : Man killed after rollover crash in Box Elder County on January, Thursday 11th 2018

A single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Box Elder County killed one man.

About 6:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, a Toyota Camry was driving in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 near exit 363 in Brigham City, according to a press release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver — who was identified in a UHP email as 69-year-old Millcreek resident Richard McKay — apparently realized he was passing his exit and tried to pull into the exit lane too late, the press release says.

The car hit a delineator post, crossed the off-ramp lane and went into a ditch on the right side of the exit, the release says.

After it hit the ditch, the car hit a fence the began to roll, the release says.

McKay was partially ejected from the car and died at the scene, the release says.

McKay was wearing a seat belt and was the only one in the car, according to the release.
