COTTONWOOD, CA : Bicyclist killed after colliding with semi-truck in Shasta County on Wednesday, 19th June 2024

A 19-year-old woman from Redding was killed in a crash Wednesday morning, the CHP said.

Around 9:45 a.m., the woman was riding her bicycle and crossing Deshutes Road from the west side of the roadway to the east side. As she was crossing the roadway, she struck a passing tractor trailer that was traveling southbound on Deschutes Road, and died.
