Albany, NY : Three hurt when ATV crashes into vehicle on Schenectady street on Sunday, August 14, 2016

Two men were seriously injured when an ATV they were riding on a city street Sunday struck another vehicle, police said.

The crash occurred about 8:05 p.m. at the intersection of Neil and Hegeman streets.
The men were eastbound on Hegeman Street on an ATV when they struck a Toyota traveling south on Neil Street, police said.

The ATV riders were ejected and both suffered serious head injuries. They were treated at the scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department, taken to Ellis Hospital and transferred to Albany Medical Center.

The crash pushed the Toyota off the street and it came to rest on the front lawn of a nearby house, police said. A female occupant of the Toyota was taken to Ellis with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police ruled out drugs and alcohol as a factor in the Toyota's driver. The investigation into the ATV driver continues.

The names of those involved in the crash were not released.
The intersection was closed during the investigation by city police and State Police.
