Thonotosassa, FL : Truck crashes head-on with car on U.S. 301 on Sunday night August 10th 2014

A Ford F-250 pickup truck smashed into the front of an oncoming car, killing the driver late Sunday on U.S. Highway 301 in Thonotosassa. The truck was headed north in the southbound lanes on U.S. 301, near Stacy Road when the crash happened about 10:04 p.m., according to the Florida High Patrol. The truck collided with the front of an Acura TSX that was headed south. The car's driver, Larry Jame Gray Sillaway, 27, of Summerfield, died at the scene. His passenger, Dawn Marie Edgerton, 30, of Zephyrhills, was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with injuries that troopers described as minor. The truck's driver, Jesus Manuel Ronduelas, 27, of Tampa, was taken to Florida Hospital Tampa, with minor injuries, troopers said. The crash was under investigation.
