Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle on Route 568 in Brecknock

A man was killed after his motorcycle slammed into a vehicle in Brecknock Twp., Berks Co. It happened a little before 3:30 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Alleghenyville Road. Officials say 47-year-old Brison Merritt of Mohnton died from head injuries after hitting the rear of the other vehicle. They say Merritt was wearing a helmet. The case is under investigation.
