MADISONVILLE, TX : Back-to-back crashes keep I-45 near Madisonville shut down on Wednesday 3rd May 2023

The highway is now back open.

Emergency responders have had a busy day after two consecutive crashes kept Interstate 45 South shut down.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says around 6:30 Wednesday morning an 18-wheeler traveling along the interstate failed to maintain a single lane a crashed near mile marker 134. No one was injured but the road was shut down for at least five hours.
