A young man suffered serious injuries in an ATV accident Wednesday night.
The man, in his early 20s, was riding an all terrain vehicle on Kidd Hill Road when he crashed into concrete stanchions, said Barnstable fire Captain Richard Ogonowsky. Someone reported the accident from Thornton Drive at 8:12 p.m.The man had multiple injuries particularly to his legs but no head trauma, Ogonoswky said. The injuries were classified as serious but not life-threatening, he said. Boston MedFlight helicopter was not available so an ambulance crew took him to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, he added.
