Austin, TX : 18-wheeler causes a car to crash in Southeast Austin on Tuesday

The Austin-Travis County EMS took six people to the hospital after an 18-wheeler causes a car to crash in Southeast Austin on Tuesday.

The Austin Police Department watch commander says around 8:00 p.m. an 18-wheeler cut off a car, causing it to rollover and then left the scene at the 5000 block of Ben White Boulevard between Burleson Road and Montopolis Drive.

ATCEMS says six people, two adults and four children, are all declared trauma alerts. One child was ejected from the vehicle, ATCEMS reported earlier.

One man went to University Medical Center Brackenride, and one woman and four children went to Dell Children's with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

APD is still looking for the driver of the 18-wheeler. The driver was last seen heading westbound on Ben White Boulevard.
