LINDSAY, OK : Oklahoma man killed in Garvin County wreck on Wednesday, October 4, 2017

A 22-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning in a wreck along a Garvin County highway, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, John Ryland Ketchum, of Alex, was driving a car east on State Highway 19, about 1.6 miles west of Lindsay. The car went left of center and struck a pickup driven by Michael A. Absher, 29, of Norman, troopers said.

Ketchum was pronounced dead at the scene. Absher was taken to a Norman hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released, the patrol reported.
