CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC : 16-year-old driver dies after crashing into tree in Cherokee County on Friday, 12th April 2024

The Cherokee County Coroner said a teen is dead after they ran off the road and crashed into ta tree on Friday evening.
According to Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 10:56 p.m. on McGill Highway.
Troopers said a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling east on McGill Highway when the driver traveled off the road to the right and overcorrected. The driver then traveled back onto the road, then off the road before hitting a tree.
The driver was taken to the hospital where they later passed away.
