MILWAUKEE, WI : Woman struck by hit-and-run driver at 40th, Villard on Wednesday, 24th August, 2016

Milwaukee police are at the scene of a hit-and-run crash at 40th Street and Villard Avenue. Police said a woman was hit about 3:15 p.m. Her injuries are unknown at this time.

A witness told WISN 12 News a red car hit the woman and kept going. He said the victim was alert and conscious.

"She fell over right here, and we helped her up to the curb, and I called 911 for her," Norman Baker said.
