LAS VEGAS, NV : Las Vegas fatal hit-and-run crash on Friday, 5th March 2021

On March 5 at about 9:25 p.m., a fatal hit-and-run auto versus person-on-foot collision occurred on N. Decatur Boulevard and Vermont Avenue.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says the evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate a person was crossing westbound across N. Decatur Boulevard north of Vermont Avenue outside of a marked or implied crosswalk.

According to witnesses, while the person was crossing the southbound travel lanes he paused and traffic was slowing.

The person began crossing again and was hit by a possible dark grey Honda Civic from the right front portion of the vehicle.

Police say the man was thrown across the intersection and came to rest on the west sidewalk on the south side of the intersection.

After the collision, police say that the vehicle fled the scene without contacting emergency personnel.
