Part of Wilkinson Boulevard is closed in west Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon after a crash knocked power lines into the roadway.The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the outbound lanes are closed at Ashley Road, near the Walmart and QuikTrip. One inbound lane is also closed.It is unclear how long the roadway could be closed or if anyone was hurt.
Duke Energy crews are being called to the scene. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
