Jacksonville, FL : Car crashes into house in Sandalwood on Saturday night, November 22, 2014

A car crashed right into Caroline's Sandlewood home Saturday night. "I was in my kitchen warming up some food for my son and it sounded like a bomb went off. All I saw was my front door coming straight at me," said Caroline. She ran to check on her two boys who were inside their bedrooms at the front of the house. When she learned they were OK, she ran outside. "And here a car sits right through my front door and the driver was sitting on the sidewalk," said Caroline. And this driver wasn’t the first to lose control in front of this home. Caroline says she moved in just three weeks ago, and saw these tire marks aiming toward her sons bedrooms, she said. "It instantly made me think someone’s going to drive through this house," she said. She says that’s why she always parks her SUV in front of their bedrooms, to prevent something like this from happening. She says everyone was OK this time, but is now scared this wont be the last time. Caroline says the woman who crashed into her home didn’t get a ticket and the mother of two wants answers. Action News reached out to JSO and are waiting on a call back. Police told Caroline the driver was going 40 mph in a residential zone. Source : Car crashes through front door of Sandalwood home
