Latrobe, PA : Two people, dog die in a double-fatal accident in Cook Township on Wednesday, January 20, 2016

A coroner has confirmed two deaths in a fiery, one-vehicle crash in rural western Pennsylvania.
State police say the vehicle burned with two occupants inside after it crashed Wednesday about noon just off Bethel Church Road in Cook Township.

The Westmoreland County coroner did not immediately release the names of the victims.

Police remained at the scene hours later, attempting to determine why the crash occurred.

Police say the vehicle traveled off the windy road and crashed in some woods.

The narrow road runs between Latrobe and Stahlstown, about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh.
