Colorado Springs, CO : Pedestrian dead in a hit-and-run crash at Circle Drive and Boulder Street on Saturday, January 23, 2016

Colorado Springs police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead.

The crash happened at Circle Drive and Boulder Street in Colorado Springs around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, reports Gazette news partner KKTV.

The man reportedly was hit in the northbound lanes; the driver of the car took off.

Police have a vague suspect vehicle description, but they're not releasing it yet.

Bystanders tried to give the man medical aid, but he died on scene, according to KKTV.

The northbound lanes of Circle Drive were shut down between Gunnison Street and East St Vrain Street for the investigation.
