A vehicle went off Hatch Road on Friday, striking a utility pole and injuring the driver. The driver suffered facial lacerations, cuts and bruises, said Battalion Chief Scott Hunter of the Auburn Fire Department. United Ambulance took her to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after the crash, which was reported around 6:30 p.m. The Auburn Police Department is investigating the crash, but a member of the department said alcohol is not regarded as a factor. The road was shut down for about an hour after the crash, Hunter said. The Chevrolet Tracker was declared a total loss. Central Maine Power was called to replace the pole.
