Lentner, MO : Indiana man injured in Shelby County crash on Tuesday night, August 2, 2016

A Munster, Ind., man was injured in a Tuesday night crash in Shelby County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Roderick D. Strong, 31, of Kansas City, was eastbound on U.S. 36, two miles west of Lentner, at 5:50 p.m. when it overtook a 2000 Ford Ranger driven by James C. Racich, 56, of Munster, and struck it in the rear. The Strong vehicle came to rest in the median. The Racich vehicle crossed the westbound lanes and came to rest in a field north of the westbound lanes.

Racich, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Salt River Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

The patrol was assisted by Shelby County Sheriff's Department, Shelbina Police Department and Shelbina Fire Department.
