Westminster, VT : Tractor trailer in fiery crash on Interstate 91 Thursday morning, Oct 1, 2015

Interstate 91 in Westminster was down to one lane Thursday morning as transportation officials investigated a fiery crash.

The fire department says a tractor-trailer hit the bridge over the Saxtons River at about 6 a.m. The cab caught fire, but the driver was able to get out safely and was not hurt.

The interstate going north was closed for half an hour. As of 6:30 a.m. it was back open to one lane just a few miles north of Exit 5 while the Agency of Transportation and police investigated. It has since reopened.

No word yet on why the driver went off the road.
