A three-vehicle collision on State Road 87 in Santa Rosa County early Tuesday morning resulted in one fatality and another driver being transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Kevin Karlton Morgan, 54, of Pensacola, died after his 1995 Ford F-150 collided with a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Clifford Alvin Miller, 36, of Milton. Both vehicles were heading southbound on State Road 87 just south of Spring Hill Road around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Florida Highway Patrol release.
After impact, Morgan veered into the northbound lane where his truck was struck by a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by Jewel Lowery Donahue, 76, of Milton.
Donahue was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in critical condition. Miller was transported to Santa Rosa Medical Center with minor injuries.
Charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation.
