Leesburg, VA : Man loses life in Purcellville crash on February, Tuesday 13th 2018

An adult man lost his life in a crash Tuesday in Purcellville.

Around 9:42 p.m. Tuesday, the driver of a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling north on Route 690 when he attempted to pass a 2010 Toyota Tundra. At some point during the driver’s attempt to pass, the driver lost control of the Jetta and struck a fence and a tree, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office officials said.

The driver lost his life at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
