CAVENDISH, VT : No one was hurt but three vehicles sustained extensive damage on April, Friday 14th 2017

No one was hurt, but three vehicles sustained extensive damage in a Friday afternoon crash at the intersection of Routes 103 and 131.
According to state police, the three-car collision started when two of them were stopped in the southbound lane of Route 103.
Police said Martin Nitka, 74, of Ludlow stopped his 2017 Toyota pickup truck at the intersection and was waiting to safely turn left on to Rout 131 when the crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Friday. At the time, a 2012 Ford Escape driving by Roger Brown, 64, of East Burke was stopped directly behind Nitka’s pickup.
According to police, Rolland Hall, 71, Keene, N.H. didn’t see either of the stopped vehicles until it was too late.
Police said Hall’s 2015 GMC Sierra slammed into the year of Brown’s Ford Escape, propelling the car into the back of Nitka’s new pickup.
The crash, which remains under investigation, resulted in substantial rear-end damage to Nitka’s pickup, extensive front- and rear-end damage to Brown’s car, and extensive front-end damage to Hall’s truck.
