State police say a 30-year-old man died in single vehicle accident on Interstate 10 near Lake Charles. Sgt. James Anderson says a car being driven by Michael Joseph Owens of Lake Charles ran off the highway, down an embankment and hit several trees. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday about 3 ½ miles east of Lake Charles. Anderson says Owens was pronounced dead at the scene.
