Montgomery, OH: Two drivers Hospitalized in two-vehicle crash near mile marker 15 on Saturday Morning, 15th November 2014

Southbound I-71 at Pfeiffer Road was closed for five hours Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash near mile marker 15. The incident occurred shortly after 3:20 a.m. when dispatchers say a truck driving north in the southbound lanes hit a U-Haul van head on. Dispatchers said reports of a truck going the wrong way on the interstate was called in moments before the crash. The driver of the van going south was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center from nearby Bethesda North Hospital. The driver of the truck was taken to Bethesda North Hospital as well. Two other vehicles were also involved in the incident. The condition of those involved in the crash is currently unknown. Investigators said alcohol played a factor.
