Winona,MN : Two taken to the hospital after crash on June, Sunday 18th 2017

Two Winona women were taken to the hospital Sunday evening after a single-vehicle accident.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jessica Lynn Wheelock, 20, Winona, was turning from Huff Street onto the southbound lane of Hwy. 14/61, and as she accelerated, skidded toward the median, crossed both lanes and rolled into the ditch.

Both Jessica Wheelock and her passenger, Cheryl Joy Wheelock, 47, from Winona, were taken to Winona Health with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Law enforcement responded around 8 p.m. to reports of their 1998 Toyota Forerunner on its side in the ditch.
