BUTTE, MT : Missing Montana woman was killed in ATV crash on Friday, June 23, 2017

Authorities say a woman who was reported missing Friday was killed in an all-terrain vehicle crash in western Montana.

The Montana Standard in Butte reports https://goo.gl/cuWMxa 21-year-old Kirsten Ryerson was last seen in Whitehall on Thursday and was reported missing the following day. Her body was found off a rural road south of Whitehall on Tuesday afternoon.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Ken Klapman says the crash remained undiscovered for so long because the ATV had veered down an embankment about 100 feet from the road and was not visible from the roadway.
