A 17-year-old girl from Eagan, Minn. suffered serious injuries in a one-car crash Saturday night in Grand Forks County.

The crash occurred just before midnight Saturday on North Dakota Highway 15, eight miles west of Northwood. The car, a 2006 Saturn Ion driven by an unnamed 17-year-old girl from East Grand Forks, was eastbound when it started to drift off of the right shoulder for unknown reasons, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The driver overcorrected and the car ran off the road into the north ditch before vaulting over an approach and rolling. All three occupants were transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

The only occupant named in the Highway Patrol's report is 19-year-old Jamison Patrick Richter of Bismarck. He and the driver were wearing seatbelts, but the report does not list their conditions.

The unnamed juvenile passenger from Eagan was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and suffered serious injuries, the Highway Patrol report states.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
