Myton, UT : Fruitland man critically injured in rollover crash near 16800 S. Wells Draw Road on Wednesday, September 24, 2014

A Duchesne County man suffered critical injuries Wednesday after the tanker truck he was driving rolled on an oilfield road 10 miles south of Myton, the Utah Highway Patrol said. The 26-year-old Fruitland man was driving for Usanco, a company that rents and services portable toilets, when his truck went off the right side of the road about 3:15 p.m. near 16800 S. Wells Draw Road, according to UHP Sgt. Todd Hull. The driver tried to get the truck back on the road but overcorrected to the left, causing the truck to roll twice, the sergeant said. The driver was ejected and the truck's sewage tank broke free from the chassis but did not rupture. The man, whose name was not released, suffered serious head injuries, Hull said. He was taken by ambulance to Uintah Basin Medical Center and then flown to a Wasatch Front hospital for treatment. It appears the driver was not wearing a seat belt, Hull said.
