FRUITLAND, ID : Caldwell man killed in Highway 95 crash on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016

Authorities say a Caldwell man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday on U.S. Highway 95 south of Fruitland.

Idaho State Police identified the victim as 50-year-old Christopher W. Lowe. Authorities say he was driving northbound on the highway when he failed to negotiate a curve. Lowe’s vehicle veered off the side of the road and down an embankment. It then struck a dirt driveway and was briefly airborne before coming to a rest in a field on the west side of the highway.Lowe was not wearing his seatbelt, according to ISP. The crash happened sometime after midnight but the accident wasn’t discovered until Wednesday morning. Lowe was found dead at the scene.
