Taos, N.M : Man dead in single-car crash near San Cristobal on Wednesday, November 23, 2016

The Taos County Sheriff’s Office says a 35-year-old man is dead after crashing his car near San Cristobal on Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office says a deputy spotted a crash scene down an embankment off the side of State Road 522, north of San Cristobal early on Wednesday morning.

The deputy then spotted Jose Herrera of Questa, who had been ejected from the car.

Police are still investigating the crash and believe alcohol may have been a factor.
