Belfair, WA : Woman injured in a vehicle crash on Highway 3-Clifton Road on Tuesday, August 2, 2016

A Belfair woman was injured in a vehicle crash just before 3 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 3.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the 67-year-old woman was stopped in a Pontiac Grand Am at the Highway 3-Clifton Road intersection when another vehicle driven by an Illinois woman struck her car from behind. Her car, in turn, struck a third vehicle at the intersection.

The Belfair woman was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton with undisclosed injuries. Her car was towed from the scene.

The Illinois woman, 68, was cited for inattentive driving. Her Toyota Highlander was damaged and towed away.

The driver of the third vehicle reported no injuries. His car was damaged but was able to be driven from the scene.
