FORT WALTON BEACH, FL : Woman dies after motorcycle crash on Saturday, January 14th 2017

A woman who was a passenger on a motorcycle died Saturday afternoon after an accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Comanche Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Melinda Cornelius, 54, was riding a Harley-Davidson north on Martin Luther King with William Cornelius, 56, about 1 p.m. when they approached Comanche, where Maria Blackmon, 46, was stopped in a 1997 Mercury, according to the FHP.
Blackmon tried to make a left turn from Comanche onto Martin Luther King and crossed the motorcycle's path.
Melinda and William Cornelius, both of Baker, were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where Melinda died later. William suffered minor injuries. Blackmon was not injured, the FHP reported
