SPRINGFIELD, MO : Crash slows traffic on I-44 in Lawrence County, Mo. on Tuesday, 30th January 2024

A crash involving two tractor-trailers slowed traffic on I-44 west of Springfield on Tuesday.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 54 around 4 p.m. MoDOT crews quickly opened up one traffic lane. The second lane opened around 5:30 p.m.

Crews diverted traffic for a short time at exit 49.

Investigators have not released any information regarding injuries.
